  • Our first advert appeared in the Hampshire Advertiser on 1st October 1842 announcing our premises.


    Did you know? In 1842, Southampton's first dock opened and the city had a population of around 35,000 people.

  • The branch later moved to bigger premises on Newgate Lane in 2005 and has become one of our largest branches within the group. It has a dedicated tool section and a landscaping area on display.

    Did you know? Henry VII's warship Mary Rose was raised from the bed of the Solent. She sank in 1545.
