It’s coming around to that time of year again when a group of Elliotts employees don their lycra and ride across France to raise money for charity.

Organised by Challenge Adventure Charities (which was founded by our chairman Stuart Mason Elliott), this year’s ride starts on 28th September at Arras and ends 3 days and 550 miles later in Alsace.

We have 3 teams consisting of a total of 12 employees taking part this year.

As a first-timer to the annual challenge and as the only female entrant from Elliotts, HR Advisor Lyn Rickman said, “I’d never cycled much before this, but I like to set myself new challenges. Matt Adlington has been brilliant and got me used to my new road bike and how to use the gears. Now I’m cycling 4 times a week – 2 shorter rides of 10-15 miles and 2 longer ones.

“I’m great on the flats but I’m dreading the hills – however I’m very determined. Hopefully I can encourage more women to sign up next year!”

The rest of the Elliotts line up consists of: Tom Elliott (Managing Director), Stuart Mason Elliott (Chairman), Matt Adlington (Sales Manager), Andrew Drummond (Engineered Wood Product Manager), Steven Webber (Operations Manager), Ed Butcher (Insulation & Drylining Product Manager), Sam Bull (Sales – Bricks), Steve Thomas (Sales Rep – Bishop’s Waltham), Chris Brierley (Roofing Specialist), Ben Stone (Branch Manager – Christchurch) and Lewis Channer (Sales).
