Joinery Sales/Admin (Windows, Doors, Stairs, Flooring)

The Sales Hub, based in our Southampton Head Office is responsible for the company's bulk deliveries, specialist products, large contracts and accounts for 20% of the company's sales.

We currently have a vacancy within our specialist Joinery Team.  This role will be based within our very busy Sales Hub and involves a strong element of administration. 

The main focus of the role, will be to ensure all administration is organised in an efficient and methodical way, as well as supporting other members of the team.  It will also include dealing with enquiries and orders, maintaining existing sales whilst seeking opportunities to develop new business for Joinery and Associated Products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Effectively dealing with customers both over the phone and face to face from the initial enquiry stage, and then following the sales process through from start to finish.  This will inlcude but not limited to:
    • Producing quotes
    • Raising orders
    • Invoicing
  • Efficiently organising and maintaining all administrative elements of the role
  • Sourcing Joinery products and negotiating prices with suppliers to quote competitively while maintaining an acceptable profit margin
  • Contributing to the team effort; dealing with a wide variety of queries/requests etc that arise in the department
  • Supporting our external sales team with their customers and where necessary taking on the role of their internal contact

  • Strong organisation skills with a methodical approach
  • Effective communication skills, face to face, via email and telephone
  • The ability to work effectively and proffessionally with our current customers and suppliers is extremely important, as is the ability to forge new relationships with prospective customers and suppliers
  • The ability to work well with both the team and colleagues within our Branch network is essential as there will be necessity for stock ordering of some product ranges for the branches as required
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office, inlcuding Outlook and Excel
