Heat Pumps
There are two options for Heat Pumps
- Air Source - Heat from the air is absorbed at low temperature into a fluid which then passes through a compressor where the temperature is increased. It then transfers the higher temperature heat to the heating & water system of the building
- Ground Source - Similar to the air source system heat is absorbed from the ground into a fluid inside a loop of pipe buried underground transferring heat back into the building in the same way as an Air Source system
Heat Pumps work particularly well with low temperature heat systems such as Underfloor Heating
